Regarding
Martha L. "Marti" Fridley

Martha L. Fridley, daughter of Edna & Charles H. Fridley

We originally posted this web page on April 2, 2003, because we had hoped that Marti would find it, and contact us.

We wanted to talk to her again - we valued her as a part of our family, and we wanted our daughter to know her Aunt Marti better. We wanted to know that she was OK, and that she was happy as she could be.

We wanted her to know that she has three (!) great-neices now, and that they are indeed great. They are on their way to being the kind of strong, savvy, independent kind girls that Marti would want them to be.

There have been half a million times we have looked at one another and said to each other "Marti would have loved this!", or "I wish Marti was here", or "I wish we could talk with Marti about this...".

Marti Fridley, R.N., aged 64, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005. Those who knew Marti well know that she has but moved on to her next adventure.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother and four kitties: Sam, Shorty, Punkin and Orlando.
Marti was a unique and very warm-hearted person who gave of herself to all she loved and all who needed her. She had a great love of nature and Native American culture.
The highlight of her life is thought to be the nine months she spent in Alaska, working with the people and learning about the inhabitants and way of life there.
At her own request there will not be a service, but her spirit will remain always with the many friends who love her and will miss her sorely.
